Same-Subnet Problem

In Transparent load balancing scenarios in which the IP address of the client is preserved in the connection, it is not possible for a client that is sitting on the same subnet as the real server to communicate with the virtual IP address on the load balancer.

Two other methods, Non-Transparency and DSR, will work in this scenario.
